Dark City StreetsNew York - October 2009
The second installment after creating Wicked Movements collection. I was obviously very excited to play around with my newly found technique again. This time I decided to create a darker more gloomy abstract. One that connected more to the chaos that the project talked about. I drew a lot of inspiration from my home town of New York, which is a perfect example of structured chaos. There are millions of people on the streets and yet some how the manage not to bump into each other (well excluding maybe the tourists). The many dark alleys and subway stations that I pass at night are, believe it or not, very inspirational.

Since I had experience using this technique previously, on Wicked Movements I had more of an opportunity to play around with it. That made the process much more fun and engaging.
“Painting is the effort to produce order; order in yourself. There is much chaos in me, much chaos in our time.”
